A little bit about our new menu, apart from your old favourites and our regular weekend specials we thought we would ring the changes and add some exciting new dishes from our overseas cousins in the south of North America.
Part of this menu is based on TEJANO cuisine. Some of you may have experienced the fast food imitation offered as Tex-Mex but our menu faithfully follows traditional recipes with the odd twist thrown in by our passionate crew of chefs.
TEJANO cuisine actually originated with the Texans of Hispanic descent or Tejanos, as a hybrid of Spanish and Mexican Indian foods when Texas was still part of New Spain and later on Mexico. The result, I hope you will agree is an eclectic mix of hot, spice, rich and sweet. You name it TEJANO food has it.
